Academic Bridge Program
What is Academic Bridge Program?
The ABP is a pioneer in the Gulf region in that it provides a coeducational opportunity for both young men and young women. Male and female students attend classes together and benefit equally from the many educational resources and opportunities offered by Qatar Foundation.
Director, Academic Bridge Program
The Academic Bridge Program (ABP) was launched in 2001 as a co-educational, pre-university preparatory program designed to help students make the transition from high school to university.
The ABP arms students with crucial academic knowledge, teaches the value of personal study disciplines, improves their English language competence and coaches them in the social skills required for success.
Achieving success in campus universities
The ABP’s mission is to provide high school leavers in Qatar and elsewhere in the region with the academic, cultural and personal skills needed for success at top quality English-language university courses, in particular those offered by Qatar Foundation’s world-class campus universities.
The ABP curriculum includes English (academic English), science, mathematics, computer and multi-media skills. Students also benefit from the many educational resources available at QF and the opportunities to participate in a wide variety of clubs and recreational activities, such as debating, journalism, the Model United Nations, art, photography, athletic competitions and field trips.
