Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development will this week play host to the prestigious Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra (VPO). VPO has been invited to Qatar by Qatar Foundation and Qatar Philharmonic Orchestra (QPO) to stage a special performance within the unique setting of Education City's Ceremonial Court on the evening of Sunday 14th February.
The 168-year old Orchestra, which in recent years has been voted Europe's finest, is consistently and closely associated with the history and tradition of European classical music.
The Orchestra also comes to Qatar as part of a European and Middle-Eastern tour under the renowned conductor Lorin Maazel, who already has a close relationship with Qatar Foundation and QPO, having conducted the hugely successful inaugural concert for QPO in October 2008 at Qatar National Theatre.
The concert will take place at Education City's Ceremonial Court on Sunday 14th February at 7.30 pm. There is a limited number of tickets available from Virgin Megastores priced at QR 350.
